Collinite’s Comeback Trio: Protecting Your Car Has Never Been Easier!

Fles, Shaker

Collinite has been known for years for its high-quality waxes and protection products, with the legendary 845 Liquid Insulator Wax as its most famous example. While this wax guarantees durability and excellent water repellency, it hasn’t always been the easiest to use.

That’s about to change! Collinite has developed three new products that make application easier, extend protection, and – surprisingly – some even smell great!

In this blog, we’ll discuss the Insulator Speed Wax, the Beadcoat Ceramic Sealant, and the Slickr 3-in-1 Detailer.

The Iconic Collinite with a Twist: Insulator Speed Wax

Anyone familiar with the classic 845 Insulator Wax knows that getting it out of the bottle and applying it can sometimes be a challenge. The need for extensive shaking, warming up, and careful application has been a hurdle for many.

The new Insulator Speed Wax solves this. It offers the same iconic protection but in an easier-to-use formula. It’s a hybrid wax, combining carnauba and polymers. Perfect as a topper for other waxes, in combination with the 845 Insulator Wax, or even as a primary layer of protection.

If using it as a topper, it’s best not to apply it on the same day as your base wax. Wait 1 or 2 weeks to allow the wax to fully cure and bond to your paintwork.

Best of all? This wax can be applied directly to the paint or with an applicator, which helps you use less product. Shake well before use, spray in straight lines with 50% overlap, let it sit for a few minutes, and then simply wipe it off.

Slickr: fast, multifunctional, and a delightful scent

Slickr 3-in-1 Detailer goes the extra mile. This ceramic "detailer plus," with the bonus of a fresh, fruity scent, delivers an ultra-smooth finish and is lightning-fast to use.

Perfect for post-wash touch-ups to remove the last spots, create beading, and instantly add a layer of protection. It can be sprayed directly onto the paintwork, but in windy conditions, using a cloth is recommended. Provides water repellency but also doubles as a drying aid when used with a drying towel.

To use as a drying aid, mist your drying towel with one or two sprays first. This makes it slightly damp, allowing it to absorb moisture more effectively.

And last but not least, as a clay lube, giving an extra layer of protection right after claying.

Beadcoat Ceramic Sealant: ultimate durability

For serious paint protection, there’s Beadcoat Ceramic Sealant Plus. This ceramic sealant promises over six months of paint protection—provided it’s applied correctly. The process does require a bit more time and patience.

Although it can technically be applied directly to the surface, we recommend using an applicator. When spraying, make sure it’s not set to "stream." The application feels more like applying a coating—you’ll notice a slight resistance. Apply and immediately wipe off to prevent streaks.

The surface must remain dry for 24 hours after application. This doesn’t just mean avoiding rain but also condensation when temperatures drop at night.

Proper preparation is crucial for the best results: washing, claying, polishing, and degreasing are the keys to long-lasting performance. And while the sealant may feel slightly tacky during application, once wiped off, it leaves a smooth and high-end finish.

Findings by Tim and Dennis

Slickr is the fastest to use and the least durable, but also the most affordable of the three. Insulator Speed Wax offers slightly longer protection, while Beadcoat provides the longest-lasting protection but is a bit trickier to apply and remove.

All three of these new Collinite products make protecting your car much easier without compromising on quality. While the brand was previously known for excellent but time-consuming products, Insulator Speed Wax, Slickr 3-in-1 Detailer, and Beadcoat Ceramic Sealant now offer a much faster and more user-friendly solution.

Of course, they can be used on top of existing products, both literally and figuratively, and with minimal effort, you achieve maximum protection.

We hope this has changed your perspective on Collinite products and inspired you to give them a try—so you too can become a true CleanRider!
