1. Preparation: Make sure the surface is clean and dry. Remove any loose debris that could cause scratches.
2. Choose a polishing pad: Attach a suitable polishing pad to the backing plate. For heavier defects, use a compounding pad; for finer work, use a polishing pad.
3. Apply product: Apply a small amount of polishing compound to the pad (a few drops will suffice).
4. Starting: Place the machine on the surface without turning it on. Choose a low speed to spread the product and then switch the polisher on. The soft-start function ensures a smooth start.
5. Polishing: Work in overlapping movements, both horizontally and vertically, with light pressure. Gradually increase the speed if necessary.
6. Check your work: After a few passes, stop the machine and wipe the surface clean with a microfiber cloth. Check if the paint is restored to your satisfaction.
7. Finishing: Use a softer pad and lower speed to remove any holograms and create a high-gloss finish.
8. Storage: Unplug the machine and remove the polishing pad. Clean the machine and pad for a longer lifespan.
Note: Avoid working on the same spot for too long to prevent overheating. Always work in a well-ventilated area and wear personal protective equipment if needed.
